Ford Taurus SHO 445 by Hennessey

Think 365 horsepower is good enough for the Ford Taurus SHO? Hennessey Performance doesn't.

The big news that's been coming from Texas-based Hennessey Performance of late has surrounded the Venom GT which, depending on who you ask, is the fastest car you can buy. But even if that's too much of a stretch, Hennessey offers performance kits for plenty of other cars that might fit your budget better. The latest comes in the form of the Ford Taurus SHO, which Hennessey has enhanced with its MaxBoost 445 which upgrades the 3.5-liter turbo V6 from 365 horsepower to (you guessed it) 445.

The engine upgraded on one of our favorite performance sedans is carried out by the Texan tuner through a dual cold-air induction system and an ECU remap. Hennessey also threw in a stainless steel cat-back exhaust system, unique "445 Boost" and Hennessey badges, serialized dash and engine plaques, embroidered headrests and a few other nice touches. As a result, the MaxBoost 445 Taurus SHO goes from 0-60 mph in just 4.3 seconds and can do the quarter mile sprint in 12.8 seconds at 109 mph. (Our thanks go out to Judah for the tip!)
