The new Ford F-150 Raptor debuted back in February, but Ford hasn't forgotten about its Ranger Raptor sibling. A new teaser video titled "The Good, The Bad and the Bad-RSE" confirms that a new special-edition version of the Ranger Raptor is coming, but details are very scarce. The video shows the special-edition truck in a Wild West setting surrounded by a group of menacing Mad Max-style vehicles ranging from trucks and buggies to bikes and quads.

An accompanying image gives us a glimpse of the truck's rear, which features a central black and red racing stripe. It isn't clear what other upgrades will be offered, but we're hoping there will be some performance upgrades to match the sportier styling.

As standard, the Ford Ranger Raptor packs 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel producing 210 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, which is sent through a ten-speed automatic gearbox.

"The new Ranger Raptor Special Edition adds even more dramatic style to our 'bad-ass' truck, with unique exterior touches and cabin enhancements that make our off-road performance pick-up even more distinctive and desirable. Starring in its own Spaghetti Western movie is the perfect way to demonstrate Ranger Raptor's outlaw appeal," said Stefan Muenzinger, manager of Ford Performance in Europe.

The new Ford Ranger Raptor Special Edition will debut on May 25, when the full version of the "colorful all-action film" will also be released. Before then, the film will air on May 21 during episode two of the TFZ:TV show on Twitch hosted by members of Ford's Team Fordzilla eSports gaming team.

In the full film, the Ranger Raptor will demonstrate its off-roading prowess evading hostile bandits with the help of other Ranger models. From the cinematic, explosion-filled teaser, the final film should be action-packed. This isn't the first time the Ranger Raptor has been linked with the games industry. The high-performance pickup debuted at the Gamescom video game show in Germany back in 2018 and has since featured in numerous driving games including Forza Horizon 4.
