Ford wants every Bronco to be unique.
Off-road vehicles like the current Jeep Wrangler and the upcoming Ford Bronco need to fulfill a variety of purposes. For some customers, that will entail not much more than transporting a surfboard to the beach, while others will actually be using these SUVs for hardcore off-roading. That's where customization comes in, and we already know that the Bronco will be available with numerous accessories. To expand the versatility of Ford's much-hyped SUV, the Bronco brand has joined forces with three prominent 4x4 companies to provide an even more extensive selection of aftermarket components and gear for the Bronco and its more refined sibling, the Bronco Sport.
These companies are ARB 4x4 Accessories, RTR Vehicles, and 4 Wheel Parts. Rather than merely list the range of Ford-approved parts, four custom Bronco and Bronco Sport vehicles have been created to give prospective customers a real look at the upgrades that are on offer. These SUVs will be on display in Moab, Utah, at the Easter Safari event.
The first custom Bronco, a four-door Outer Banks trim equipped with the popular Sasquatch Package, has been dressed up in extras like a 40-inch curved LED lightbar, Air Design fender flares, and a retractable soft-top roof developed by Bestop.
RTR's four-door Bronco is based on a four-door Badlands model. It boasts 35-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires wrapped around RTR Tech-6 wheels, RTR rock sliders, and an RTR 3D-printed grille plus simulated light accents. Finished in silver and with black/yellow body graphics, it looks fantastic.
Next is ARB's Bronco which comes with unique bumpers, an ARB twin compressor, heavy-duty rock sliders, and a differential cover. Finally, 4 Wheel Parts created the Bronco Black Diamond Series. It rides on chunky 37-inch BFGoodrich mud-terrain tires, the same size as the controversial tires offered on the new F-150 Raptor. It also comes with a heavy-duty suspension, a Smittybilt overhead tent, camping gear, and more.
"Off-road enthusiasts crave accessories to create their ultimate off-road machines, so we're accelerating the development of Bronco-specific offerings by working directly with three of the leading suppliers in the 4x4 arena to further build out our list of off-road parts and accessories available this summer," explained Ford icons regional product line manager, Jeff Seaman. "In the end, no two Bronco SUVs should ever need to be the same." When it arrives, Bronco customers will be able to choose from over 200 accessories approved by Ford.
