There's no question that Ford wants Mustang buyers to opt for the 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo four banger over the standard V6 engine. For not much more money you get more power and better fuel efficiency. But the lure of that 5.0-liter V8 with 435 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque can't be denied. Fortunately, Ford Performances has just announced an upgrade kit for that EcoBoost Mustang that increases power and peak torque by 25 ponies and 70 lb-ft, respectively.

All told, that brings total output up to 335 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. Yes, that's just 10 lb-ft less than the Mustang GT. So, how much will that cost you? Try a mere $699. And yes, this package is 50-state-compliant and warranty friendly. Think those power increases are impressive? They are, but Ford Performance also points out gains throughout the powerband, including "a 100 horsepower increase at 6,000 rpm. The kit also boasts an average gain of 40 horsepower and 60 lb-ft of torque from 2,500 rpm to 5,000 rpm, with even larger average gains of 75 horsepower and 64 lb-ft from 5,500 rpm to redline." OK, Ford. Just shut up and take our money.
