To pay homage to Ken Block, Ford Performance will put a sticker of his likeness on all of its vehicles across various racing series. "Ken, all of our race teams across all series are gonna bring you along for one final ride to start the season. We miss you," the company said on Twitter.

Block, who was known for his iconic Gymkhana videos and his accolades as a professional rally driver, tragically died in a snowmobile crash earlier this year at age 55. His number 43 was retired by the FIA for the 2023 season and possibly beyond. This is only the second number retirement ever from the FIA; the first was Jules Bianchi (number 17) after his death in 2014.

Ford posted pictures of the decal that will be affixed to all of its race cars this year. It shows Block smiling while wearing his Hoonigan hat with 1967-2023 designating his life and #43FOREVER honoring everything he accomplished in motorsport and beyond. The decals were posted on a Ford Mustang and a Ford Puma rally car, but will soon appear on many more vehicles.

Ken Block was partnered with Ford for more than a decade before ending his connection with the Blue Oval in 2021 on good terms. He most recently partnered with Audi to develop electric cars and famously began making the Gymkhana series with Subaru. Block's company, Hoonigan Industries, put together a touching homage video showing his most incredible feats.

"I want to thank you for everything you've done for the company and how proud we are of everything we've accomplished," Ford CEO Jim Farley said of Block when he left the partnership in 2021. Farley even honored him by wearing the sticker on the 98 Ford Mustang GT4 that he drove at the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge.

Expect to see Block's smiling face in NASCAR, sports car, and many other racing series.
