As the summer begins to come to a close, there's still a couple major outdoor car festivals to be held, Pebble Beach and the Woodward Dream Cruise. The latter will be getting underway this weekend. As always, the Detroit automakers will be on all hands on deck to take part in this celebration of cars and the Motor City. For its part, Ford has just announced it will unveil a new vehicle this Thursday, August 16. No clues were offered as to what this vehicle will be, but we do have a couple of guesses. One, a new Mustang trim. That's always a guaranteed win, especially for the Mustang enthusiasts.

Other possibilities include the Ranger Raptor and the production-spec Bronco SUV. Ford is also producing a number of events during Woodward, such as the debut of a one-off Kona Blue Mustang Bullitt, which will be raffled off for charity. The also one-off Eagle Squadron Mustang GT will be delivered the AirVenture auction winner by none other than Vaughn Gittin Jr. Just as the new Mustang Bullitt is making its way to dealerships, there will also very appropriately be a Mustang Bullitt parade down Woodward Avenue this Saturday.

A screening of the movie itself will take place at a drive-in theater on Friday and Saturday nights. Another big highlight will be the 20th anniversary of Mustang Alley where Ford expects as many as 1,000 Mustangs will take part in a nearly mile-long lineup. We'll bring you all of the details surrounding that mystery vehicle the moment they arrive. Stay tuned.
