It won’t be chasing down speeders, though.
After growing accustomed to seeing supercars turned intopolice cruisers in places like Dubai, Abu Dhabi and even Italy, it seems the UKpolice is getting ready to speed into action as well. With new Ariel Atom police carsdelivered to departments in Avon and Somerset in southern England, local policecould be armed with the quickest patrol car we've ever reported. But thankfullyfor local motorists with a need for speed, these cars were actually donated bythe manufacturer for different purposes.
The Ariel Atom police cars were donated to these policedepartments in order to promote motorcycle safety, ahead of the company’supcoming two-wheeler. Company boss, Simon Sauders, told Auto Expressthat like the Ariel Atom, motorcycles are best enjoyed on a closed track: "There’s always one certain loser in a motorcycle collisionand that’s the motorcyclist."
