BMW Motorsport revealed the new M6 GT3 back in February with juicy details about the race car's engine. Days after the BMW Z4 GT3's final race at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, BMW has just released pricing information for the M6 GT3. The new race car will be available for purchase as of September 15th and will cost approximately $414,000. Not bad for a full-spec racing vehicle. BMW Motorsport plans to unveil the M6 GT3 with a racing livery at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Half a million dollars for this screaming race car might be a steal. The M6 GT3 packs a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that can produce up to 577 hp-depending on classification. The race car has a steel chassis that has a welded FIA-approved safety cell and carbon fiber crash structures at the front and back. What's truly impressive about BMW's latest customer racer is its scant weight of roughly 2,900 lbs., which is down approximately 1,300 lbs. from the road-going M6. Look out for the M6 GT3 to tear up the track against the AMG GT3 next year.
