Forza 5 Previewed for Xbox One

Video Game

Forza Motorsport 5 is one of a select few games showcased for Microsoft's brand new console.

Forza Motorsport 5 had the honor of being the first game to be demoed on new Xbox One, Microsoft’s third-gen entertainment console unveiled yesterday in Redmond. The fifth installment of the wildly popular racing franchise has been rebuilt from the ground up and returns to a sim format. The trailer shows McLaren’s F1 and P1 supercars racing on the virtual street, and as you’d expect of a machine powered by 300,000 servers, 8GB of RAM, a Blu-ray drive and 64-bit architecture the graphics look amazing.

Then there’s the small matter of its latest camera-based Kinect system whose sensor tracks wrist and shoulder rotations and can even rear users’ heartbeats. That should make the gaming experience just as impressive as the visuals.
