A new month is around the bend, so fans of the Forza Horizon 5 franchise have plenty to look forward to in the coming weeks. The latest "High Performance" series update brings an array of new cars, including the Lamborghini Huracan STO, Porsche Mission R, Audi RS6 Avant, and the #70 Porsche Motorsport 935 racer.

Before we get to the exciting new vehicles, let's look at the greater game updates. The Horizon Stadium, a landmark on the Mexico map, will be transformed into an Oval Circuit adorned with race-inspired decor and props. This new addition will only be available to explore for the entirety of the "High Performance" series but will be added as a permanent race route thereafter.

As many as 20 extra accolades have been added to the game, along with new profile badges and customization. But now it's time to look at the new cars.

Lamborghini Huracan STO

The Huracan STO is essentially a road-going race car. Powered by a 5.2-liter V10, the hardcore Lambo produces 630 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque. 0 to 62 mph is dealt with in just three seconds, while the top speed is pegged at an impressive 193 mph.

Race-inspired details include lightweight magnesium wheels, carbon fiber (exterior and interior) components, Brembo CCM-R carbon-ceramic brakes, and numerous aerodynamic adjustments. Compared to the lesser Huracan Performante, curb weight has been reduced by 95 lbs, while downforce is increased by 53%.

It should prove hugely exciting, even in the digital world. Forza Horizon 5 now features 24 Lamborghinis to choose from, including classics like the Miura and Diablo SV and more modern vehicles like the Centenario and Aventador SVJ.

Porsche Mission R

Porsche's Mission R is a glimpse into the future of electrified racing. It's superb-looking, fusing classic motorsport elements with Porsche's new design language. The automaker claims the concept can muster up as much as 1,072 hp in "qualifying mode," although race mode offers a more realistic 670 ponies.

This mighty motivation can be sent to all four wheels, piloting the EV to 62 mph in less than 2.5 seconds. The top speed is pegged at 186 mph. Porsche has suggested that the Mission R will serve as inspiration for the new Boxster and Cayman sports cars. The next-generation Boxster will debut shortly, and spy shots indicate it will look similar to the Mission R. We can only hope this is the case.

The Mission R will also appear in the rebooted Forza Motorsport, expected later this year.

#70 Porsche Motorsport 935

In Porsche circles, the reimagined 935 is as good as it gets. Inspired by the legendary "Moby Dick" 935 of the late '70s, the newest iteration is based on the Porsche 911 GT2 RS but is more exclusive. Just 77 examples were destined for production at a price of more than $800,000 - making it truly spectacular. The 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine features a twin-turbo setup and produces 700 hp.

The masses will never experience a car this rare, but at least Porsche fans will be able to take it for a spin in Horizon 5. With the addition of the Mission R and the 935, there's a total of 39 Porsche vehicles, including contemporary offerings like the Cayenne Turbo and Taycan and legends like the 959 and Carrera RS 2.7.

Audi RS6 Avant

Just months after the addition of the RS7 Sportback and all-electric RS e-tron GT, the highly desirable Audi RS6 Avant will be introduced to Forza Horizon 5. Arguably one of the greatest modern Audis, the high-performance station wagon employs a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, which produces a mighty 591 hp and 590 lb-ft.

The menacing wide body and grumbling V8 engine will make it a firm favorite with players, who will appreciate the addition of another wagon to the lineup.

Audi's potent family hauler will go head-to-head with the BMW M5, Mercedes-AMG E63S, and the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. The Caddy was introduced (along with the CT4-V Blackwing, Rimac Nevera, and Lexus LC) in the series 19 update.

A total of 24 Audis are now available in the game, including the aforementioned models and cars like the RS2 Avant and Sport quattro.
