Acura has been making headlines for all the right reasons: first, the Integra made its highly anticipated comeback, and then it was announced that it would be competing in the grueling 2022 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The Integra, which only entered production last month, managed to bag a top ten finish in its class, while Acura also celebrated stunning results from Nick Robinson and his production-spec NSX Type S, and Justin Lumbard in his TLX Type S. This year's event celebrated the centenary of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, while Acura celebrated another feat in that it has managed to bag a podium finish for 10 consecutive years.

In total, Acura managed to bag four top-ten finishes and a podium position at this year's event, and marks the 26th podium overall for the all-volunteer race program. The most successful of the Acura crew was Nick Robinson, a Pikes Peak veteran and the current FWD record holder. Robinson managed to achieve a third place finish in the Exhibition class in his production-spec NSX Type S. He completed the 12.42-mile course in 11:14.683 which also secured him 14th place in the overall standings. Two Acura TLX Type S cars participated, with Justin Lumbard posting a quick 11:31.123 for a 6th place finish in the Time Attack 1 Class. Jordan Guitar managed a 12:10.740 in his TLX for a 7th place finish in the Exhibition Class.

The 2023 Acura Integra made its racing debut and managed to finish 9th in class with a time of 13:06.931 thanks to the efforts of rookie driver Paul Hubers. Thick fog and slippery road conditions plagued most of the weekend, but things were kept orderly thanks to veteran race car driver Renee Brinkerhoff who piloted the event's official pace car, a 2022 NSX Type S. Acura's exceptional results at this year's Pikes Peak Hill Climb follows from the brand's 2019 and 2020 motorsport successes in both the IMSA and SRO GT World Challenge America series. We know that the Integra isn't an all-out sports car, but we're excited to see it flourish in the local track racing scene in the coming months and years.
