Russian automaker e-Auto releases a video and pictures of their upcoming hybrid concept that will be showcased at Frankfurt.
Russian automaker e-Auto has just unveiled their latest concept ahead of its official debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show later this month. Featuring sliding doors, the new concept prototype is built on the same platform as the company's other hybrid cars, which include a sedan, wagon, and coupe. The plan is supposedly to put the car into mass production at a factory near St. Petersburg in the second half of 2012.
The company's CEO, Andrey Biryukov, says that the upcoming Frankfurt prototype will be "totally unexpected from the standpoint of design."
According to the company's official press release, "The exterior design is dominated by the concept of an e-refined aerodynamic shape; a new concept of opening doors demonstrates the unconventional approach of our team in the implementation of the e-project." No other details have been revealed, but the automaker has been accepting pre-orders for the production version since last May. More details to come in just a couple of weeks from Frankfurt.
