Just a few weeks ago, pricing details leaked for the 2021 Kia Seltos, but nothing was made official. Fast forward to today, and the online configurator for Kia's latest SUV is live, giving us a full breakdown of the different trim levels. The 2021 Kia Seltos starts at $21,990 for the base LX trim, positioning it between the Kia Soul ($17,490) and the Kia Sportage ($23,990). Powering the base model is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 146 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to all four wheels through a continuously variable transmission.

Standard equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, an eight-inch touch screen, and remote keyless entry. With front-wheel drive, the S trim also starts at $21,990 and adds LED daytime running lights and taillights, heated mirrors, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel among other upgrades. Automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and lane departure warning comes as standard for the S trim, while AWD and heated seats are available for an extra $1,500.

Starting at $25,250, the EX trim comes with AWD and adds a power sunroof, wireless phone charging, LED interior lighting, upgraded 17-inch wheels, Sofino seat trim, heated front seats, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat. A blind spot avoidance system and, rear cross-traffic alert and avoidance are also included.

For $25,450, the S Turbo trim replaces the 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a 1.6-liter turbocharged, inline 4-cylinder engine with 175 horsepower and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. This trim also adds 18-inch alloy wheels, remote keyless entry, and a six-way manually adjustable driver's seat. AWD is only available for this trim.

Topping the range is the $27,890 SX Turbo trim, which adds LED headlights, LED front fog lights, a 10.25-inch touch screen, a Bose premium audio system, and more. All prices exclude the $1,120 destination charge. The 2021 Kia Seltos offers good value for money, but it's easy to hike the price up when you add optional extras such as a sunroof package ($700), mud guards ($115), carpeted floor mats ($130), illuminated scuff plate ($295), and an interior light kit ($300). Fully loaded, the 2021 Kia Seltos can cost as much as $30,540 - that's $8,550 more than the base price.
