Furious 8 Is Filming In Cuba Right Now, Here's Our First Look

Hollywood

A cameo for Fidel Castro?

The "Fast and Furious" franchise continues despite the loss of star Paul Walker. It’s just something we’ll all have to get used to. Nevertheless, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Lucas Black, and Ludacris (and the rest of the cast) are all returning for the next installment of the immensely successful franchise, "Furious 8," now filming in Cuba. That’s right. Cuba. The island nation that was only months ago off limits to Americans (not to mention American corporations and movie studios) is now host to a major Hollywood production.

Directed by F. Gary Gray, the movie’s production has clearly drawn a huge crowd, many of whom appear to be extras. The official theatrical release won’t happen until April 14, 2017, but for now the studio has just released this video showcasing the cast and crew on location in Cuba.
