Supercar level upgrades come with a supercar price tag.
BMW tuning specialist G-Power has unveiled its latest M3 tuning package that may look like its designed for the track but is completely road legal. Building on its 600-horsepower M3 GT2 S program, the new M3 GT2 R packs a supercar worthy 720 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. All that added juice was achieved by fitting a supercharger system complete with a modified crankshaft that increases displacement from 4.0 to 4.6 liters, a tailor-made cooling system and a new titanium exhaust system with free-flowing metallic catalytic converters.
That's come about via a full carbon-fiber body kit made up of a hood, front and rear skirts, front lip, rear spoiler, and four wings. The combination of brutal power and 1,500 kg curb weight results in a 0-62 mph time of 3.7 secs, 0-124 mph time of 9.5 secs and a top speed of 205 mph. Comprehensive chassis upgrades were of course essential and G-Power opted for its own Clubsport suspension, 20-inch Silverstone RS alloys, and ceramic brakes. Inside, carbon racing buckets have been fitted alongside a roll cage all trimmed in leather and alcantara finished with orange and blue stitching. Items are available individually, while a complete M3 GT2 R package will set you back 195,310 Euros.
