Like its predecessor, the Toyota GR 86 is already proving popular with aftermarket tuners. Last month, Toyota showed off seven heavily customized GR 86 cars by renowned Japanese tuners like Tom's, HKS, and Cusco. Now, Gazoo Racing has revealed two new GR 86 concepts previewing some of the performance parts that will be available for the Japanese sports car.

The first concept is fitted with a new sharp-looking front splitter and carbon accents. Not only do these enhancements make the front look more striking, but they also increase the car's front-end downforce.

There's also a carbon duct above the splitter to improve cooling along with prominent air vents on the wheel arches that are extended by 1.69 inches, giving the GR 86 a wider stance. At the back, Gazoo Racing's take on the GR 86 features a large motorsport-style carbon fiber wing, a carbon rear diffuser, and a quad exhaust system that improves efficiency.

Other enhancements include new side skirts that reduce drag. As for the wheels, the custom GR 86 rides on 19-inch forged aluminium wheels. The second concept is less flashy, but upgrades such as new front and bumpers, side skirts, and a GR sports exhaust system make the GR 86 look more aggressive.

It also features new ducts on the front fenders, an aero-enhancing side window a prominent trunk lid spoiler, and forged 19-inch wheels.

To improve the handling, the concept is fitted with new shocks and springs, while larger brakes improve the stopping power. Inside, the cabin is enhanced with forged carbon trim, a knee pad, and a carbon fiber key cover. Under the hood, the GR 86's 2.0-liter flat-four engine has been left stock. In the US, this unit generates 205 hp and 156 lb-ft of torque.

Gazoo Racing hasn't said if either concept will enter production, but the parts should be available to buy from the Gazoo Racing parts catalog when the GR 86 goes on sale.
