More Americans Can Now Buy The Genesis GV60 And G80 EVs

Industry News / 4 Comments

The GV60 and Electrified G80 are spreading their wings across the country.

The Genesis GV60 and Electrified G80 crossovers are available from select retailers in various states, now including Colorado. The slow rollout of the luxury brand's first all-electric vehicles is part of the brand's major expansion plan and dedication to electric vehicles in the US, which includes new standalone dealerships bearing the Genesis name. Genesis plans to have its lineup fully electrified and available across the US by 2030.

"We are pleased to offer our award-winning lineup of electric vehicles to even more American consumers," said Claudia Marquez, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America. "Customers have been waiting patiently to get into GV60 and the Electrified G80, and we are pleased to expand the availability of these models to Colorado."

This makes the GV60 available now in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Utah, and Washington. The Electrified G80 is available in those states, plus Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Virginia.

Along with the increased availability, the push for electric vehicle sales from Genesis includes three years of 30-minute complimentary charging sessions from the date of vehicle purchase via the Electrify America network. Owners can quickly find charge points on their longer journeys using the Genesis Connected Services and Electrify America mobile apps.

The GV60 is Genesis's first vehicle built from the ground up to run on electric power only and starts at $59,290 for the 314 hp Advanced trim with a 314-mile range. The 429 hp Performance trim with 235 miles of range starts at $68,290. Both models are all-wheel-drive only.

The G80 was built to run three drivetrains - a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder or 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine, or a fully electric drivetrain. The Electrified G80 starts at $79,825 with just one trim available for now and delivers 365 hp to all four wheels with a maximum range of 323 miles.
