Vantage Coupe

Since one of Aston Martin's chief rivals in Porsche, they have realized that they need to offer the same kind of dizzying array of products that Stuttgart does. So now if you want something a little more potent than the V8 Vantage, but don't have the money for the V12, you can have a V8 Vantage S. The S caters more to the enthusiast crowd, but it isn't track focused in the way the N420 is, it is still meant to spend most of the time on the road.

This new Vantage is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 that puts out 430 horsepower and 361lb-ft of torque. That comes with Aston Martin's seven-speed Sportshift II transmission, and it allows the S to dash to 60 in 4.5 seconds. The S doesn't look vastly different from the standard Vantage at a glance, but there are little tweaks all over the exterior. The interior has new touches as well, but not as many.
