BMW has revealed their latest concept at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The Vision ConnectedDrive Concept is a two-passenger roadster that "demonstrates current and future methods of mobile networking." The goal of this concept is to make an "integral part of the networked world." How is this done exactly? For starters, it borrows several design elements from the Vision EfficientDynamics concept.

However, the new concept focuses specifically on three areas: comfort, safety, and infotainment. Data and information for all three are displayed via a light installation display inside of the car. For example, the driver is able to monitor various information with the help of a three-dimensional head-up display which displays icons and road updates in their field of vision. The driver can fully adjust what information they'd like to see and how it's presented. BMW hasn't given details regarding what powers the concept.

BMW says the Vision ConnectedDrive concept represents where they believe infotainment technology is heading. Although a lot of information would be available to the driver, they would in turn be fully in control of how much, in what order, and how often it's displayed. Theoretically, this would be an improvement over the infotainment units of today that require drivers to take their eyes off the road.
