The much anticipated final production version of the new five-door Chevrolet Cruze hatchback has finally been revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. We first saw this hatch as a thinly veiled almost production-ready concept at last year's Paris Motor Show, and when it was shown in Geneva, the car was pretty much true to that Paris model. The hatch is underpinned by the same GM Delta platform found on the Astra, so no surprises there.

The Chevy Cruze hatch will be available with a new range of engines that will be topped by the 161-horsepower 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine from the new Orlando MPV that was recently released. The five-door is also being described by the automaker as one of its most versatile vehicles, with a trunk capacity close to 100 gallons. The new Cruze hatch will be going on sale in the UK starting this summer, but the pricing remains unknown.
