We've already been told the sad news that the United States will not be getting the all-new global Ford Ranger, but in another salt in a wound move, the United Kingdom is set to receive the top-of-the-line Wildtrack Edition. After its debut at the Geneva Motor Show today, the Wildtrack is pretty much what you would think of it as being. It's a Ranger truck equipped with Duratorq diesel engines only, the smallest of which is a 2.2-liter four-cylinder with 148-horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque.

The larger is a 3.2-liter inline-five with 197-horsepower, and the edition comes with a choice of either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The exterior sports a rugged aggressive appearance and also has some special Wildtrack graphics and badges. A cool feature is that the truck is also able to wade through waters standing up to 31.5-inches tall. Inside, it's fitted with a combination of leather and cloth and there are 23 total storage spaces. The Wildtrack goes on sale in the UK this November.
