Mercedes-Benz's platform at the recently opened 2011 Geneva Motor Show featured the premiere of the automaker's new C-Class Coupe for us all to see. This will be the second sports coupe to join the Mercedes range in June and it will be priced from around $48,966. Under the hood of the C-Class Coupe lies a brand new 418-horsepower 5.5-liter non-turbo V8 AMG engine. It's important to note that this is not shared by the sedan.

While it doesn't share the same engine as the sedan, the coupe does share a platform with revised sedan, and it's also the same length. The C-Class Coupe is full of new stylings, including an AMG Sports pack with lowered suspension, 18-inch alloys and bodykit. The interior was inspired by the E-Class, but by and large the coupe and sedan share almost everything. An AMG range-topper is slated for launch in September, only after a New York Show debut next month.
