Geneva 2011: MKB Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

/ Comments

German tuning firm MKB is currently displaying their technical abilities at the Geneva Motor Show with the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. Beginning with the factory-spec car, MKB simply installed their own software into the car. According to MKB CEO Panagiotis Avramidis, "if a car manufacturer offers such a high value engine and high value engine periphery parts...then you won't find additional power if you simply change some of these parts and hope for a performance increase."

All told, the tuned version goes from 0 to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 205 mph with the additional 67 hp. MKB also offers the Alpha III wheel set and sport tires. No price was announced for the tuning upgrade.
