Although the Geneva show is still a bit off in the future, Ford has stated that it is getting ready to premiere a concept version of a Fiesta-based Ford minivan. This is supposed to be a design study that's essentially going to act as a pilot for the production vehicle that will follow in early 2012, and it will replace the current European Fusion. Ford Europe announced that production of the Fiesta MPV will begin by the end of the year at Ford's factory in Romania.

For now, the report says that Ford has no plans to offer the car in North America, but in Europe, the car will compete in the small MPV segment against the Opel/Vauxhall Meriva, Citroen C3 Picasso and Kia Venga. Photos displayed are of the 2009 Ford Fiesta 5-door
