Geneva: Maserati Alfieri 2+2 Concept Revealed

Geared at the F-Type, this 100th anniversary model combines elegance and aggression.

Maserati’s stunning Alfieri concept, unveiled today at theGeneva Motor Show, reveals a new styling language that Maserati says will carryon to its future models. Speaking to the head of design for Maserati/AlfaRomeo, our team in Geneva was told about the concept’s six month stylingproject, turning the idea- inspired by the 1950s A6 GCS- into a usable car witha 4.7-liter V-8. Design features include grille-integrated headlights-first shown on the company’s Kubang SUV Concept.

Maserati officials say they are waiting for press andpotential-customer feedback before determining whether the car will enterproduction, much as they did with the Alfa 4C a few years ago. Much like a beautiful, classy Italian lady, the anniversary concept doesn't scream sexy, but you can't take your eyes off her. If brought to production, theAlfieri could become the inspiration for the 2016 or 2017 Jaguar F-Typefighting Gran Sport model. And that's something you would look forward waking up to each morning.
