Genty’s 1,200-HP Supercar Comes to Life

But the question remains, will it ever be built?

Bugatti better watch out as there’ll soon be another French supercar on the street, with Genty Automobile cranking up the pressure on the release of its Akylone supercar. After revealing a few pictures, the “carmaker” has put out this video, showing what its carbon-fiber and aluminum creation will look like on the move. Power is said to come from a bespoke engine rated at 1,200 hp and 961 lb-ft of torque, which should be enough to send the Akylone from 0-62 mph in 2.7 seconds and from 0-124 mph in 7.2 seconds.

A full-size prototype will be built once sufficient funds have been raised. Check out the video and consider whether you feel like chipping in.
