Aside from three of them recently catching on fire after striking a road object, the Tesla Model S has received stellar reviews from owners and critics alike. But that's the Model S. Its predecessor, the Roadster, was a different story. When it launched back in 2008, the two-seater was considered to be pretty high-tech for an EV. However, it was far from perfect and managed to drum up its fair share of critics, such as Jeremy Clarkson. As it turns out George Clooney was once a Roadster owner, before auctioning it off last year for charity.

Clooney recently stated that he "was one of the first cats with a Tesla. I think I was, like No.5 on the list. But I'm telling you, I've been on the side of the road a while in that thing, and I said to them, 'Look, guys, why am I always stuck on the side of the fucking road? Make it work, one way or another.'" Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk has just responded to Clooney's comments with a post on Twitter that reads: "In other news, George Clooney reports that his iPhone1 had a bug back in 07." Well put, Elon.
