Anyone in the envious position of mulling over whether to fork out the $847,975 starting price for the Porsche 918 Spyder, better make their minds up soon. As a representative of the firm has revealed the carmaker's halo car has almost sold out. Speaking with Automotive News, Andre Oosthuizen, VP Marketing for Porsche Cars North America, divulged that just a small number of models are yet to find buyers. Only 918 units will be built, with production to end next July.

Just over 30 cars have been delivered worldwide, Jerry Seinfeld and Zlatan Ibrahimovic being two lucky recipients, while planned production of the plug-in hybrid hypercar is sold out until early April. That means Porsche has just two months worth of units left to sell. Buyers are being asked to make a $200,000 deposit for the 918 Spyder and Porsche admitted the US will be the biggest market for its flagship supercar.
