The 2020 Jeep Gladiator may not be the most work-ready truck on the market, nor is it the cheapest. But Jeep has positioned its mid-size truck as a lifestyle vehicle that is perfect for off-road excursions, beach trips, and camping. FCA's Mopar parts division already offers a slew off accessories for the Gladiator but like any popular truck, there are bound to be plenty of aftermarket companies who will offer parts.

One such company is RSi SmartCap, makers of truck caps for a variety of models including Ford F-150 and Ranger, Chevy Colorado and Silverado, GMC Canyon and Sierra, Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500, Toyota Tacoma and Tundra, and soon to be the Jeep Gladiator.

The company says it has produced the world's modular stainless steel truck cap system. This means the cap is assembled from a five-piece modular design, allowing owners to build and organize it to their liking. Jeep owners will be able to equip their bed with RSi's SmartCap EVO Gladiator Edition, which the company says has been specially designed to match the truck's rugged stance.

On its website, RSi says the product is "ideal for the hunter, fisherman, or weekend warrior, the SmartCap EVO is forged from steel - not made of fiberglass. It's built like a truck, not like a boat." The cap is rated to hold 330 pounds of payload when moving or 770 lbs when parked and includes vertical locking mechanisms.

RSi says the SmartCap EVO Gladiator Edition will be available starting September 2020. The Gladiator Edition should cost the same as the company's other products, meaning a starting price of $3,695. Of course, the modular design allows for some pretty interesting upgrades such as a SmartBin for tools or a SmartKitchen. There are also built-in air vents so it doesn't get too stuffy inside the cap. All RSi products include a three-year warranty.
