Lamborghini is already developing a topless version of the Lamborghini Sian hybrid supercar.
The Lamborghini Sian represents the Raging Bull's first hybrid production supercar. Power is provided by an upgraded version of the same 6.5-liter V12 found in the Aventador SVJ, with an increased output of 785 horsepower. Combined with a 48-volt electrical system, electric motor, and a supercapacitor, the Lamborghini Sian has a combined output of 819 hp. This setup enables the Sian to sprint from 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and achieves a top speed of 217 mph, making it the most powerful Lamborghini road car ever.
Currently, the Lamborghini Sian is only available as a coupe, but The Supercar Blog claims that a roadster version is already in development.
Deliveries for the coupe version haven't even started yet, but a Lamborghini Sian Roadster seems inevitable since Lamborghini has built topless versions of its limited-edition supercars in the past such as the Veneno. Whether it will be an open-top supercar like the Veneno Roadster remains to be seen, however.
From render images created by Nikita Aksyonov we shared last year, the Lamborghini Sian Roadster could potentially look even better than its coupe counterpart. Like the coupe, the styling will be inspired by the striking Terzo Millennio concept that debuted back in 2017. The Sian's 6.5-liter V12 will no doubt sound even more sublime with no roof, but the extra structural rigidity required to compensate for the lack of roof could affect the performance.
Production of the Sian coupe was limited to only 63 units, so don't expect more than 63 examples of the Sian Roadster to roll off the production line. According to The Supercar Blog, every example has already been sold before the Sian Roadster's public reveal. This isn't surprising because the Sian coupe was also sold out when it debuted last year.
As for how much it will cost, the Lamborghini Sian coupe starts at a whopping $3.7 million but don't be surprised if the Roadster version has an even more outrageous price tag.
