GMC Hummer Edition One With Just 98 Miles Hits The Auction Block

Whoever bought this clearly had no intention of enjoying it to the full.

For those trying to get their hands on the hard-to-come-by GMC Hummer EV Pickup, a very special and hardly-driven Edition One Pickup is set to go under Barrett-Jackson's hammer in Houston with no reserve. This Interstellar White electric truck with a Lunar Horizon black-and-light-gray interior has only covered 98 miles since it was purchased.

Features fitted to this model include 18-inch alloy wheels covered in 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory Multi-Terrain tires, adaptive air suspension, a Multi-Pro tailgate, and a 14-speaker Bose sound system connected to a 13.4-inch infotainment screen. This model also has an infinity roof with removable transparent sky panels, which recently came under fire for leaking.

On top of this, it is also fitted with the LED exterior lighting package with lights for the cargo box. You also get rock rails, power-adjustable front seats with heating and cooling, heating for the rear seats and steering wheel, Super Cruise compatibility, a trailer brake controller, and UltraVision front and rear underbody cameras.

The reimagining of the Humvee, albeit as an electrified truck, has resulted in soaring demand for the GMC-badged product to the point that the brand had to temporarily halt reservations. There are even some Turo car rental users offering a service to experience the electric truck at a pretty steep daily rate.

There isn't any information about the owner of this unit, but it is peculiar as to why someone would go through the effort of acquiring an Edition One, driving it for less than 100 miles, and auctioning it after only a few months. This model will be sold under lot #725 at Barrett-Jackson's Houston 2022 auction (October 20-22, at the NRG Center), and there's no telling what it will sell for in today's used car market. We've already seen some Edition One examples with more miles than this one selling for almost twice as much as the original base price of $112,595, so don't expect to get a bargain here.
