With so much attention being paid to Japanese trucks right now, not to mention the upcoming new generation of the Ford Raptor and whatever Ram is concocting to compete with said Raptor, you might have forgotten that there was such a thing as the Canyon, or possibly just all of GMC in total. But now here is a new special edition of the pickup, just in time. Called the Nightfall Edition, the truck comes in Onyx Black and is based on the SLE crew cab.

As is usually the case with these sorts of things, the Nightfall Edition comes with a variety of features as standard which would be more expensive if optioned up regularly. These include a unique black grille, black assist steps, a factory-sprayed bed-liner, 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear view camera and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Pricing hasn't been announced yet, but it does seem quite well equipped, even if that equipment is offered at a lower price. It will be hitting dealerships fairly soon, sometime in the first quarter of 2015.
