Grandmother Sells Grand Theft Auto Viper-Based Banshee Replica For Just $45k

One-off

"It is not a practical car."

Unlike the Banshee’s drivers in Grand Theft Auto, this one was owned by a 56-year-old grandmother. If you recall, we covered this story last summer when this 2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10-based Banshee replica was first put up for sale on eBay. The asking price then was $170,000. It didn’t sell right away and was re-listed. Late last month, it found a new owner, and they didn’t pay anywhere near that original price? Valued at $180k by West Coast Customs, asking price was $170k. It was finally sold for $45,200.

Apparently owning something like this wasn’t as popular as the sellers thought it would be. It must have been a hard sell because this recent video was just produced as sort of a “Help us sell this damn thing!” promo. And we’ll admit, like any Viper, the Banshee does sound great.
