The closest thing the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade has to cool cars.

Some of you will probably be watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, if your not doing so already. This American institution dates back to November 27, 1924, and originally featured the Macy's store employees and animals from the Central Park Zoo. The parade has come a long way since then, and we wanted to put together a picture gallery on the closest relatives to cars in the parade, the floats. Even though these extravagant mobile stages get pulled by trucks, they do have wheels and so we like them. Now if we can only get them to race.
