Toyota is coming for SEMA with a fully loaded clip of cars that are sure to blow away fans and critics alike. Chief among them is the hardcore GReddy Performance Formula D GR Supra. This car has been painstakingly built to compete in the premier US drift championship and features some of the latest in drift-built tech.

Built by Gushi Motorsports and GReddy Performance, this machine has been designed to be repaired in the least amount of time possible, and fans can follow the build journey on YouTube to discover just how much time and effort goes into building one of these missiles.

Toyota invests big money into motorsport in North America, and one of the best examples of its commitment to going fast is the Ken Gushi Formula Drift Supra. Built by Ken Gushi Motorsports and GReddy Performance, this drift machine looks relatively stock, with only subtle mods to the exterior, and according to the builders focuses on "efficiency, simplicity, and impact".

The car was completed in mid-September and is already hitting the track. GReddy is renowned for building seriously fast Supras, and this car is no different. Using the stock B58 inline-six engine, Ken Gushi Motorsports and GReddy Performance have turned this Supra's power up to ridiculous levels. The stock turbo has been replaced by a BorgWarner EFR 9280, and a Sean Adriano Racing exhaust system opens up this Supra's voice. The radiator has been moved to the back of the car, and the fuel tank has been balanced for better weight distribution. Keeping the car pointing in the right direction is a set of Rays Gram Lights 57DR wrapped in Achilles Radial tires.

The rest of the car features a bespoke roll cage, rear end, a lightweight Pandem Rocket Bunny kit custom made for quick replacement in the event of a crash, and the headlights have been integrated into the front fascia for ease of replacement. The purple and red graphics used on the exterior are a nod to Toyota's Gazoo racing department, and the widened fenders and aggressive front end give it the prerequisite aggression every Formula Drift car needs. The Formula Drift season is now at the halfway mark, but fans can still catch Gushi and the No. 21 GReddy Performance Formula D GR Supra at rounds seven and eight in Irwindale, California from November 20-22, 2020.
