Really, it could potentially mess up our system.
We've seen this one in spy shots before, and Mercedes-Benz has just given it an official name. And as the title above clearly suggests, we can't type it. Seriously. It's called the G500 4x4 Squared. Swap out the word "squared" for the small 2 above the four and you've got the name. We have to configure our admin code for it to work first (which we'll do). But we wanted to make sure you got the news today. It's the new G-Class flagship that'll debut at Geneva in a couple of weeks.
It appears to have essentially the same portal axles from the beastly 6x6 G63 and applied them to the four-wheeled version. Awesome. From the single image released, it's looks as though the fenders have been widened in order to make space for those massive wheels and axles. Power, of course, will come from the current AMG-developed 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 with about 540 hp. The sole gearbox will likely be the seven-speed G-tronic automatic. Will this green Hulk-like G-Wagon come to the US? That's the very question we'll ask Mercedes-AMG next month at Geneva. We should have the coding problem solved by then, in case you were worried.
