Guinness Confirms New Fastest Drift World Record

Drifting

It would be a pretty high speed even with the car pointed in the right direction.

This would actually be worth running even without the world record, just to show off the car. The following is the work of Poland’s ORLEN Team and driver Kuba Przygonski, together with the help of his 1,068-horsepower Toyota GT86. Mr. Przygonski has used the car to set a new world record for fastest drift, at 217.973km/h (136.23mph). That’s really quite fast for a drift, to say nothing of the fact that it’s one hell of a quick GT86.

The icing on this sideways cake is that the video of the event is one which actually has some good production value. Nothing worse than a crappy video of something momentous.
