When Gumball 3000 2015 wrapped up in May earlier this year, we already began hearing about the plans for next year's Rally. The Gumball 3000 2016 rally route was set to be an entirely European course that began in Dublin went through England, then the Swiss Alps, Budapest and Bucharest before concluding in Istanbul. However, it is now being reported that the originally scheduled route for the 2016 Gumball 3000 Rally is being changed.

For reasons unknown at this point in time, Istanbul, Turkey, will no longer be the final stop on the 3000-mile tour. The tour will now end in Bucharest and apparently Prague is being added to the route in order to compensate for removing Istanbul from the list of destinations. It is speculated that political instability in the Turkish capital is likely the reason behind the sudden change in plans. The Gumball 3000 is still scheduled to kick off on April 30 next year and will conclude on May 6.
