Guy Ritchie's “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” Looks Like It Will Be The Glorious Car-Centric Thriller We Want

There just aren't enough awesome spy thrillers anymore.

Just as the western was the staple of popular entertainment in the Fifties, with the Sixties came the stylish and suave spy thriller. James Bond, The Saint, The Avengers and I Spy were also joined by The Man From U.N.C.L.E., a TV show to which Archer bears a strong resemblance and which is now being remade in movie form by Guy Ritchie. Cars were a huge part of these kinds of thrillers, and right from the start of this trailer, we can see that the remake will not disappoint.

Cold War-era spy thrillers seem to be making a small resurgence, from the serious (Child 44, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Americans) to the more humorous like this one or Archer. We are very much in favor of it all.
