The Nissan Armada was given a facelift for the 2021 model year, giving the large off-roader more rugged styling and a vastly improved interior. As standard, the 2021 Nissan Armada is powered by a 5.6-liter V8 producing 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, mated to a seven-speed automatic. Nissan also sells a more powerful variant - but not in the US, sadly.

Outside of America, the Nissan Armada is sold as the Patrol, and in regions like the Middle East, Nissan also offers a high-performance version tuned by Nismo. A video shared by Instagram page jokerr.cars shows the new Nissan Patrol Nismo completely undisguised shooting for a commercial in the Middle East, despite the fact that the updated Nismo variant hasn't yet been officially unveiled.

With no camouflage, the Nismo version clearly looks more aggressive than America's Armada, with prominent air intakes flanking a larger grille. In addition, Nissan has added sporty side skirts and the front bumper features a red accent. Like the current model, the new Patrol Nismo rides on larger 22-inch black and silver Rays wheels.

Elsewhere, we get a glimpse of the Patrol Nismo's large exhaust tip and the SUV is riding on noticeably larger tires. We don't get a look inside the cabin, but the current Nissan Patrol Nismo features unique interior badging and aluminum pedals.

Under the hood, the updated Patrol Nismo will be powered by a tuned version of Nissan's 5.6-liter V8. In the current Patrol Nismo, this unit generates 428 hp, but the updated model could get a slight power increase. Based on the refreshed 2021 Patrol, this will be the first time the Nismo variant has been updated since it launched in 2015. Like the pre-facelift version, it will most likely be exclusive to the Middle East market where the Patrol is a best-seller, so don't get your hopes up about it coming to the US.
