The all-new production 2020 Toyota Supra finally broke cover at the Detroit Auto Show a few weeks ago, but the automaker will soon be revealing yet another Supra concept designed to preview some of the TRD performance parts that will be available to spice up the Japanese sports car. Dubbed the Toyota GR Supra Performance Line Concept TRD, the showcar will make its debut next week on February 9 at the annual Osaka Automesse event held in the Kansai region in Japan. Think of it as the JDM equivalent to SEMA.

The teaser sketch released by Toyota Racing Development ahead of the car's debut doesn't show much but expect the Supra TRD Performance Concept to feature a number of sporty TRD goodies such as a new rear spoiler and diffuser, side skirts, bigger brakes, tweaked suspension, and sportier wheels. There could also be a special edition Supra TRD in the pipeline, but we'll have to wait for more details when the concept is revealed.

Toyota has also previously hinted that a high-performance Supra GRMN is in the works, so the new concept could also give us some clues of what to expect from the range-topping hardcore model. We're not expecting the concept to feature any powertrain upgrades, however, so expect it to be powered by the standard Supra's 3.0-liter inline-six that produces 335 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque. 0-62 mph in the standard Supra takes 4.1 seconds before the reborn sports car hits an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
