DRIVE and, more importantly, Chris Harris are back. And his first big group test involves the Audi R8, Porsche 997 Turbo S and a Litchfield-tuned Nissan GT-R.
The price difference between a Nissan GT-R and an Audi R8 or Porsche 911 Turbo S is about £20,000. So Chris Harris decided it only fair to pick a Godzilla that had that amount spent on tuning. Hence the Litchfield GT-R, which has been tweaked to deliver 750 horsepower, as well as receiving a revised chassis and ceramic brakes. Contrast that with the 997-gen 911 Turbo S, which has 530 hp and similar amounts of torque, and the Audi R8, whose naturally-aspirated V10 delivers 550 hp and just under 400 lb-ft.
So how do they compare? Harris takes them to the track, along some twisty roads and for a drag race on a runway, to find out.
