Chris Harris recounts his time at the epic road race.
Over 400 cars took part in the 1,000-mile Italian odyssey, one of which was co-piloted by Chris Harris. His weapon of choice for “the World’s Most Beautiful Race” was one of just 55 Jaguar C-Types ever made. And while it’s been a couple of months since the revival race ended, the first-hand footage is well worth checking out. Juan Manuel Fangio was the first registered keeper of this particular C-Type, so it’s been in good hands. But that's no guarantee its current occupants will keep it on the road.
With 280 hp, and weighing just 900 kg, coupled with features such as drum brakes and skinny rubber, this wouldn’t be your first choice of car to cover 1,000 km in. From Brescia in the north to Rome and back again, check out the epic adventure through the eyes of the consummate Chris Harris.
