Having recently spent time in the SLS AMG Black Series on the Paul Ricard circuit, Chris Harris returned to sample the SLS Electric Drive. It's no secret the British auto-journo fears the onset of electric tech in motor cars. But Mercedes' new all-electric supercar is no ordinary EV. It puts out 750 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque, while weighing in at 2,200kg. With a real-life range of around 125 miles, the SLS Electric Drive is too heavy and limited, however, to be considered a genuine supercar.

However, the futuristic tech involved to make it an exciting car to drive, as Harris discovers in his latest Drive production, represents the future. Whether you like it or not. So it's best to get used to that idea sooner rather than later. This video should hopefully provide you with some encouragement.
