We've seen the car and mulled over its specs. There's even been a German review of the new Alfa Romeo 4C. But this is the first proper critique of Alfa's new mid-engined two-seater sports car and thankfully it's Chris Harris talking us through it. Alfa is hoping to herald in a new era with the 4C, a car that Harris suggests sits between the Porsche Cayman and Lotus Elise in terms of size and drivability at least. Being an Alfa, it's also a very pretty thing to look at.

So does Harris think the Italian marque delivers something as special as we all hoped?
