Harris Guns the Jaguar XKR-S GT

Track Car

It took them a while, but Jaguar’s extreme XK looks to have been worth the wait.

Jaguar unveiled its most extreme performance model back in March. Ever since then, we’ve been waiting for someone to take the track-focused, street-legal two-door coupe for a serious drive. Thankfully, that someone happens to be Chris Harris. The Jaguar XKR-S GT isn’t more powerful than the XKR-S or XJR, with the Leaping Cat’s 5.0-liter supercharged V8 continuing to churn out 550 hp and 502 lb-ft of torque. Where it differs is the chassis and carbon-fiber aerodynamic add-ons.

The XKR-S GT has buckets of downforce and looks to be a proper weapon on the track. If you like what you see, then be aware Jaguar is bringing just 25 to the US priced at $174,000 a piece. Alternatively you could always wait for the F-Type to get similar upgrades. Now that is a car we urge Jaguar to hurry up and make.
