Just 350 examples of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series will be built. It has gullwing doors and a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 that produces a noise so harmonic that it could make Ferrari owners jealous. Unfortunately, it'll more than likely be the last naturally aspirated AMG high-performance machine before the era of turbocharging officially begins. So it goes without saying the SLS AMG Black Series is one very special car, something that auto scribe Chris Harris is quick to point out.

On a visit to the Paul Ricard Circuit, Harris gets a chance to go behind the wheel of this 630-horsepower AMG-built wonder. Compared to the standard SLS AMG, the Black Series went on a diet in order for its full performance potential to be realized.
