Minivan / 3 Comments

A seemingly boring VW commercial van has been turned into something actually quite interesting.

Those living in Europe are relatively familiar with Volkswagen's T5 van. On the surface, it's simply a commercial vehicle, but in the right hands it can be turned into something else much, much cooler. The tuner's VANSPORTS recently unveiled another T5 project and today comes word of a new van in town. This T5's 2.0-liter TDI has been given a power boost from 140 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque to 166 hp and 291 lb-ft.The 2.0-liter biturbo version goes from 179 hp and 295 lb-ft to 212 hp and 339 lb-ft.

Hartmann has also added a new throttle control kit for better agility along with a stainless steel exhaust system. Other new items include high-performance sport springs with optional Bilstein dampers, a lower kit, front spoiler, rocker panels and a rear skirt. The interior has been touched up with unique floor mats, aluminum pedals and brushed aluminum door sill plates. Official pricing has not been revealed.
