Adding power and dynamic feel, Hartmann's VANSPORTS tuning line dubbed the T5 Prime has just been revealed, at the heart of which lies a power upgrade for the diesel engines. The Vansports electronic diesel performance kit combined with a sports exhaust system pushes the power of the 2.0 TDI up from 138 to 164 horsepower, and torque from 251 to 291 lb-ft, and the 2.0 BiTDI from 177 up to 209 hp, and torque from 295 to 339 lb-ft. That's nothing to cough at in a large utility van.

Hartmann has also fitted an electronic accelerator pedal kit, allowing for a significantly shorter reaction time during acceleration. For improved driving dynamics, Hartmann has also fitted the T5 Prime with a high-performance sport suspension that optimizes handling without sacrificing on comfort, bringing the T5 30 mm closer to the tarmac. Visual tweaks include new front spoilers, side skirts, a rear skirt extension and a range of alloys in different designs and finishes. This particular example is riding on 20-inch VEST 3 wheels. An individualized interior includes velour carpeting, antiskid rubber knobs and carbon-optic parts.
