Remember a couple of years ago when Renault unveiled its so-called reborn Alpine? Well, a production version, which had been promised, still hasn't arrived. However, Renault has just revealed its Alpine Celebration concept at Le Mans, and it's looking fairly close to production ready. The new concept is a 60th anniversary tribute to the original A110 Berlinetta and unlike the previous concept, this one is supposedly more accurate to the car that'll debut at Geneva next year if all goes to plan.

If you were to compare this concept with its namesake, you'll notice lots of retro styling traits, specifically the double headlights and sloped roofline. Even the rims have some retro flavor and those orange brake calipers are a great touch. The rear end features a fixed wing and dual exhaust. Also note that F1 style fog light. Renault isn't saying what powers this mid-engined coupe, but a good guess would be the 2.0-liter turbo four banger from the formidable Megane RS. No word whether a dual-clutch or a manual gearbox will send power to the rear wheels. All told, the production version will only weigh around 2,500 lbs. Will it come to the US? To answer that, ask yourself this: Is Renault currently in the US?
